12 year old web designer placed 2nd in an international web design contest

June 19, 2000, London, Ontario, Canada – The Design team led by 12 year old Keith Peiris of Cyberteks Design, won the 2nd place award for the best design at Macromedia Webworld 2000, held from June 19-23, 2000 in Seattle. 12 teams of 4 members entered the competition to design a website for the Washington State Conservation Authority in 6 hours.

The second place award at this event was extra ordinary for the 12 year old Keith since all other team members quit half way through and Keith was alone and completed the project at 12.30 am Wednesday the June 19, 2000. This solo effort was witnessed by several developers from Macromedia.
